Mrs. Carl Lewis Chaplin

Miss Brown Wed
In Hagerstown

     The wedding of Miss Mary Leon Brown, daughter of Mrs. Bessie DeHaven, of North avenue, and the late Mr. Leon R. Brown, to Mr. Carl Lewis Chaplin, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Chaplin, of Lexington, Va., took place Saturday, May 16, in the Hagerstown Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Audrey A. Young performed the ceremony before a few close friends.
     The bride was dressed in light blue with dark blue accessories. Her corsage was of red roses and baby's breath. Mrs. Chaplin is a graduate of the Handley High
School and is now cashier at J. C. Penney and Company.
     Mr. Chaplin, who was graduated from the Natural Bridge High School is now in business with his brother in this city. The young couple are making their home for the present at 16 North avenue. They expect to leave for Dayton, Ohio, in the near future.
     Those attending the wedding were Misses Katherine and Marie Kline and Frances Sirbaugh, of this city, and Messrs. John Ed Menefee and Kenneth Rollison, of Purcellville.
