     Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Brown, of Albin, Va., who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3, are shown above in two views . . . the first was taken shortly after their wedding ceremony which was performed near Gainesboro at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Robinson, late parents of Mrs. Brown, who was formerly Miss Mollie (Mary Anna) Robinson; and the second was taken during the anniversary party which was held at their home in Albin.

Death Dissolves
57-year Wedded
Bond at Albin

     A marriage of 57 years was terminated 2:30 p. m. yesterday with the death of Mrs. Mary Anna
Brown, at their residence at Albin.
     Mr. and Mrs. Brown were married on April 3, 1890, at the old Robinson home near Gainesboro. Mr. Brown operated a farm there for more than a score of years before retiring and moving to Albin.
     Mrs. Brown had been in declining health for about three years but her condition became serious only a week ago.
Born Near Winchester
     She was born near Winchester on September 20, 1872, a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Rebecca Smith Robinson, both natives of Frederick County.
     She was a member of the Friends church.
     In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brown leaves three children, Mrs. Holmes Yeakley, Hunter Brown and Edgar Brown, all of Winchester; a sister, Mrs. L. Jackson, Winchester; two brothers, Archie Robinson of Wadesville and Hunter Robinson, of Winchester; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. tomorrow from the Omp's funeral home with the Rev. E. B. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the family lot at Mt. Hebron cemetery.

Mrs. S. Brown Rites
     Many friends and relatives gathered at the Omp's funeral home yesterday for the last rites for Mrs. Mary Anna Brown, wife of Samuel Brown of Albin, who died Friday afternoon after an extended illness. The services were conducted by the Rev. E. B. Smith with interment in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
     Pallbearers were Guy Smith, Daniel Greenwalt, Zilor Bageant, Milton Luttrell, Ray Butler and L. A. Hudson.

Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Brown
Observe 50th Wedding
Anniversary at Albin.

     Highlighting the social events of Spring at Albin, Va., near here, was the party given on Wednesday evening by Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Brown in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
     The interior of their residence was decorated for the occasion with jonquils and gold roses, with the same color scheme being carried out in other decorations and refreshments.
     After the guests had all arrived and congratulated the couple on the Gold Anniversary, Mrs. Brown cut and served a cake, and also served fruit punch. This was followed by a buffet supper.
     Guests that witnessed the wedding 50 years ago and also were present for the party were Mrs. Nenah L. Jackson, sister of the bride; Mr. A. S. Robinson, Mr. C. Hunter Robinson, brothers of the bride; Mrs. M. M. Bailey, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Sallie Robinson, Miss Mamie Robinson and Mrs. C. B. Coleman, L. Jackson
     Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Conner, of Harrisburg, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Brown, Jr., of Washington, D. C.; Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Townsend, of Canton, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Whitacre, of Whitacre, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brown and son, Russell, of Gainesboro, Va.
     Guests from Winchester and vicinity were Mr. and Mrs. H. S.
