Mrs. Whitacre's
     Rites Are Set

     Mrs. Nena Whitacre Baker, about 55, member of a widely known Frederick county family, died at her home in Washington, D. C., yesterday evening about 6:30. Death was attributed to paralysis.
     The wife of Maynard Baker, she was a daughter of the late Turner A. and Alice Brown Whitacre. She was born at Whitacre, this county.
     Mrs. Baker was stricken Saturday afternoon about 2 o'clock and died without regaining consciousness. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Moshe, of Washington, D. C.; by a sister, Mrs. Annie Johnson, of Washington, and a brother, J. N. Whitacre, of Frederick county.
     Funeral services will be conducted from the Whitacre residence of Mrs. Baker's sister, Mrs. Johnson, at 10:30 o'clock, the Rev. Roy Schmucker, of Winchester, officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
     Serving as pallbearers will be the following cousins of Mrs. Baker: Fred Whitacre, Landon Whitacre, John Whitacre, Lee N. Whitacre, of Frederick county; Dr. Noble D. Whitacre, of Martinsburg, W. Va., and Harry Stotler.

Baker Rites To
        Be Held Friday


     The funeral of Mrs. Nena Whitacre Baker, 50, will be conducted tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock, from the residence of her sister, Mrs. Annie Johnson, at Whitacre, followed by rites at Redland's Church, the Rev. Roy Schmucker officiating.
     Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Whitacre, Landon Whitacre, John Whitacre, Lee N. Whitacre, Dr. Nobel D. Whitacre and Harry
