----

ick County Farmer Passes
Away Near Stephenson
----
A host of friends in Winchester and Frederick and
adjoining counties of Virginia and West Virginia were much
grieved today to learn of the death of Mrs. Sue S.

prominent and generally esteemed residents of Frederick
county, which occurred early this morning at the family home
near Stephenson, five miles north of Winchester. Her age
was 70 years, two months and 15 days.

wife's condition, which led many devoted friends to believe
that she would eventually recover. She appears, however, to
have suffered a relapse, and when it was announced this
morning that she had passed away during the night intimate
acquaintances here were shocked.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Clevenger leaves two
sons, Messrs. Carroll C. and Drury D. Clevenger; one
daughter, Miss Bertha B. Clevenger; one daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Edith M. Clevenger; two grandchildren, Genevive and
Stanley Clevenger; one brother, Mr. James D. Childs, of
Daper, Wis.; one half-sister, Mrs. Emma E. Jackson, and a
number of nephews, nieces and other family connections.
Funeral services will be held at the family residence
at 1:30 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, and interment will
be in the buryground adjoining the Friends' Meeting House at
Hopewell, this county.
