Janet E. Robinson
ROBINSON, Janet E. -- 87. Born in Los Angeles, CA April 22, 1915. Passed away April 4, 2003 in Los Gatos, CA.
Beloved wife of the late William G. "Robby" Robinson and sister of the late Robert Estes. Loving mother of Toni Hilley of Tiverton, RI, Timothy Robinson of Saratoga, CA and Terry Robinson of Stanford, CA. Cherished grandmother of William Hilley, George Hilley, Jeffrey Robinson, Kirk Robinson, Keri Robinson, Scott Robinson and John Robinson.
Janet grew up in Beverly Hills, CA and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority at U.C.L.A., where she met her husband George. During WWII Janet worked for McDonald Douglas on the assembly line while her husband served in the Air Force with a bomber squadron stationed in Italy. Janet was co founder with her husband of the Tocaloma Boys and Girls Club which owned Catalina Island Boys and Girls Camps, as well as Foxboro, Arizona (Flagstaff) Boys & Girls Camps. Robby went on to build the business with his brother to one of the largest camping organizations in the nation, bringing joy to thousands of children, while Janet was content raising three children. Janet remained active in her later years in the Alpha Phi Sorority as well as the P.E.O. Organization.
A family celebration was held at the home of Timothy Robinson on April 7th. Janet will be dearly missed by all of her children, grandchildren and friends.
