Josephine D. Peacemaker
Josephine D. "JoJo" Peacemaker, 52, of Bloomery, WV, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at the home of her parents in Winchester.
She was born in 1955, in Winchester, the daughter of Mr. Joseph N. and Mrs. Libby Davis, Jr. She was a member of Redland United Methodist Church and had worked as a credit manager for Schenck Foods.
She married Gregory S. Peacemaker on October 28, 1992, in Winchester.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, of Winchester and her husband, of Bloomery, WV, are three sons, David Grubbs and his wife, Jenn of Inwood, WV, Daniel A. Grubbs, and his girlfriend, Jennie, of Bloomery, WV and Joseph R. Grubbs of Winchester; and two sisters, Joyce D. Wright and Janet G. Davis, both of Winchester.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy DeHaven.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, at Redland United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Kendall officiating. Interment will be in Gainesboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Wright, Gary Palmer, Jeff Peacemaker, Anthony Crosen, Don Jackson and Steven Gillenwater. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Huntsberry and Ken Smiy.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Redland U.M.C., Gainesboro Fire and Rescue or Blue Ridge Hospice.
JoJo at Schenck's
Schenck Foods Company has been honored to have worked with JoJo for the past 23 years. She was a stellar employee, always providing the best customer care and representing the company in her position. She and Greg met here at Schenck's and were married in 1992. She and Greg have made many life long friendships here. The employees are greatly saddened in JoJo's passing and will remember her always.
