Ray L. DeHaven Sr.
Ray Lee DeHaven Sr., 74, of Frederick County, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at his home.
Mr. DeHaven was born June 13, 1925, in Frederick County, the son of Oscar and Ruth Nutter DeHaven.
He was a retired Pentecostal minister and had retired from Abex Friction Products.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Jenkins of Winchester; four sons, Richard DeHaven of Front Royal, Jerry DeHaven and Terry DeHaven, both of Frederick County and Junior DeHaven of Winchester; a sister, Evelyn Eaton of Gainesboro; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Sherry DeHaven, is deceased.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Michael R. Phelps & Associates Funeral Directors, Stephens City, with the Rev. Cletus Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Gainesboro Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J.D. DeHaven, Chris DeHaven, Shawn DeHaven, Shane DeHaven, T.J. DeHaven, and Timmy DeHaven.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
