Mrs. Emma Jane Campbell, 80, died early this morning at the home of her son, Roy A. Campbell, in Clarke county. Death was due to complications of old age. She had been ill for 16 weeks.
The daughter of the late Andrew A. Robinson, of Frederick county, and Susan Shank, of Stephens City. Mrs. Campbell was born December 18, 1863.
She was the wife of the late James M. Campbell who has been dead about 12 years. They were married 55 years ago and lived most of their married life in Gainesboro, Va. She was a member of the Friends Church.
Surviving are three sons, Roy A. Campbell, Clarke county; Earl Campbell, Gainesboro; and Ralph Campbell, Falling Waters; also one daughter, Mrs. Ursula Davis, Gainesboro; and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Smith, Gainesboro. Sixteen grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 at the son's residence in Clarke county, from which place they will proceed to the Chestnut Grove Church for the final rites. Interment will be in the adjacent cemetery.
