Mary Beitler
     Mrs. Mary Beitler passed away Saturday afternoon June 24, 1922 at her home in this place at the age of 76 years. Her last illness was of only a few week's duration although for a number of years her health had been failing. Her children, with the exception of one daughter in California, were with her at the last. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the congregational church, conducted by Rev. W. W. Gettys assisted by Rev. C. E. Spore. Interment was made in Elm Creek cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death some three years. She leaves to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted mother, two sons, George Beitler of this place, W. E. Beitler of Brush, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Hannah Francis of Westminster, California and Mrs. Laura Burr of this place and their families. A stepson, David Beitler and two grandsons, H. Clay Beitler and W. E. Beitler Jr., a granddaughter, Mrs. Carrie Henderson of Rosemont and their children; John Packard, a brother-in-law and a niece and nephew in Marshall county, Iowa. She was a kind and helpful neighbor and friend who will be remembered by all who knew her.

Evan Beitler
     Mr. E. Beitler passed away early Tuesday morning at the family home after a short illness while not able to be about much owing to his age which was eighty nine years he had been quite well until he began to fail about ten days ago. The end came peacefully and after a long life well spent he has gone to his reward. He leaves a wife five children grand children and great grand children.
