          Be it known to all whom it may concern that I Jacob McCoy of Union Township Belmont County of the State of Ohio, being of sound mind & understanding do make & ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner following to witness--

          First my will is that all my just debts & funeral expenses be paid by my executors herein after nominated & appointed.

          2nd I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Rebecca McCoy all the property she was possessed of & that came into my hands at the time of our marriage to her forever.

          3rd I give & bequeath unto my said wife the use, occupant & improvements of the two tracts of Land on which I now live, together with the buildings thereon during her life.

          4th My will is that y executors shall have cause and appraisement & inventory of my personal property to be made according to Law, that my wife have the priviledge of retaining in her own property during her life, seek parts of the Stock that shall be on the two tracts of land on which I now live also seek parts of the movables belonging to my house & farm as will in her judgement contribute to her own conveniences. And further my will is that my executors sell at public auction all the remaining parts of both the stock & movables belonging to the stock, house & farm & retain the money arising from said sale in their own hands & also that they retain in their own hands all the money that I may have at my decease or that may come into their hands by the collection of Debts or otherwise...Nevertheless should my wife find it necessary for her comfortable support to make use of a part or the whole of said Money my will is that my Executors at all times pay to her order such part of said money or they may draw upon them for...

          5th I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Hannah Wood, wife of Joshua Wood all the revenue of my personal property that shall be left after the decease of my wife of whatever kind or wherever it may be found.

          6th I give & bequeath unto my said Daughter Hannah Wood, (at the decease of my wife), the two parts of land before mentioned on which I now live on the Guarantee Situated of Land which is now in possession of my said son in law Joshua Wood, lying on the six mile run being part of Section No 7, Township 10, range 6 in the Steubenville district unto her, his heirs & apparent forever.

          7th I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Walton wife of Samuel Walton in Northeast quarter of Section No 6 in Township No 9 in range 6 in Steubenville district to her heirs & apparent forever.

          8th Believing that my four sons viz: Asa, John, Jesse & Jacob have received of my my full sharing my estate. I give & bequeath unto them the further sum of one dollar cash to be paid to them by my executor within one year after my decease--

          Lastly I nominate constitute & appoint my said son in law Joshua Wood & my friend David Hoge to be my executors of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all other Wills & Testaments by me made declaring this & this only to be my last Will & Testament---

          In Witness whereas I have hereunto set my hand & seal this eighth day of first month in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & seventeen---
