[Home] [Robert Mackay Clan Links and Information] [McKay Family Wills and Other Documents]The Last Will & Testament of Reuben JobeSee Reuben's line of descent which begins in the Mackay Family Record xxxxxI Reuben Jobe of Moniteau County Missouri being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and over the age of twenty one years do make, publish and declare my last will and testament in the manner following, to wit: xxxxxI devise and bequeath to my wife Nancy Jobe should she survive me all my property both real and personal for and during the time of her natural life, and the said Nancy Jobe shall have no power to sell, convey or in any manner whatever incumber the real estate herein bequeathed, she may rent or lease said estate but all such rents or leases shall terminate at her death. xxxxxAt the death of my said wife Nancy Jobe, or should she die before me then at my death I devise and bequeath to my son W.H. Jobe all my real estate, being eighty acres of land on which I now reside, said W.H. Jobe to pay all the funeral expenses of my said wife and myself. xxxxxAt the death of my said wife Nancy Jobe or should she die before me then at my death, I will that my personal property be equally divided among my children or their descendants to wit: Henderson Jobe, W.M. Jobe, E.M. Jobe, James R. Jobe, W.H. Jobe, and the children of my deceased daughter Sarah Suggs to wit: Louisa E. Suggs, Rosa J. Suggs, Nannie Suggs, Albert Suggs, Dollie Suggs and Alfred Suggs the said children of my deceased daughter to have jointly the interest their mother would have been entitled to were she living. xxxxxIn witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 12th day of August 1892.
