Mrs. Oscar McKay
Dies in Washington

     Mrs. Minnie Parr McKay, former resident of Cedarville, Warren County, died Monday evening, July 7, at her home in Washington, D.C.
     Mrs. McKay was born August 30, 1877, and was a daughter of Weedon and Melissa Parr of Culpepper, Va. Her husband, Oscar C. McKay died in 1926. She is survived by four children: Mrs. J. C. Kenne of Falls Church, Va.; Mrs. John H. Miller of Stamford, Conn.; Mr. C. Parr McKay of Portsmouth, Va.; and Mr. Dearing D. McKay of Washington, D.C.. Five grandchildren also survive Mrs. McKay.
     Funeral service were held Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Fred T. Laughon, Jr.
     Pallbearers were J. Miller Jett and Hubert McKay, of Nineveh; Marshall Gore, of Washington, D. C.; Weedon Armstrong, of Culpeper; and Kenneth Armstrong of Warrenton.

Rites Set Today

     Mrs. Minnie Peer McKay, widow of the late Oscar Caleb McKay, died in her home in Washington, D. C. on Monday afternoon at four o'clock, aged sixty-nine years.
     She was born in Jeffersontown, Culpeper County, and was the daughter of the late Weedon Asbury Peer and Mrs. Melissa Margaret Parr. She lived at Cedarville for a number of years, until the death of her husband when she removed to Washington, D. C.
     Mrs. McKay is survived by four children, Clyde Parr McKay, of Portsmouth, Dearing LeHew McKay, of Washington, D. C.,; Mrs. Elizabeth Keene, of Falls Church, and Mrs. Melissa Miller, of Stamford, Conn.
     There will be a burial service this afternoon at two o'clock in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal, conducted by the Rev. Fred T. Laughon, Jr.
     Pallbearers will be: J. Miller Jett and Hubert McKay, of Nineveh; Marshall Gore, of Washington, D. C.; Weedon Armstrong, of Culpeper; and Kenneth Armstrong, of Warrenton.

Miss Susie M. Parr,
Former Resident, Dies

     Miss Susie M. Parr, former resident here and known in Washington art circles, died yesterday in Winchester, Va., according to workd received here today. She was 71.
     Miss Parr, a native of Culpeper, Va., had lived here for 14 years and had exhibited much of her work at the Corcoran Art Gallery.
     She had taught music and art at various institutions in Dallas, Tex.; Nevada, Missouri and Danville, Va. More recently she had been head of the music and art department of the Virginian Interment College, Bristol, Va.
     Miss Parr was active in the Baptist Memorial Church here. Funeral services will be held tomorrow in Culpeper, followed by burial in Jeffersonton.
     She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Minnie P. McKay, Washington, and Mrs. J. Lee Melton, Front Royal, Va., and two brothers, C.E. Parr, Clarksburg, W. Va., and W.G. Parr, Fort Pierce, Fla.
