Katherine Luby
     Katherine Ann Hackney Becker Luby, 71, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 4, 2016 in Wilmington.
     She was born May 1, 1945 in Wilmington, daughter of the late Howard Smith Hackney and Flossie Lucille Morrow Hackney.
     Katherine was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for over 50 years, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1976, and an honorary member of the Chester Friends Meeting.
     She graduated from Kingman High School in 1963, Sinclair Community College and received her Master's Degree in History and Psychology from University of Dayton.
     Katherine was active in the Buckeye Leather Craftsman's Gild and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years, receiving the Silver Beaver Award. She was an avid family historian and genealogist.
     Surviving are nine children, John (Kathy) Becker III, Kristen St. John, Jennifer (Paul) Dunn, Kevin K. E. Becker, Kimberly (Delwyn) Price, Cherrie (Bob) Alziebler, Elizabeth (Gary) Schow, Nathaniel (Heather) Luby, and Jayne (Jeremy) Luby; 31 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Herbert Luby and John Franklin Becker Jr.; two brothers, Albert and Roderick Hackney; and a son, Kenneth Howard Becker.
     Services will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 2343 Wayne Road, Wilmington, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 with Branch President Rees Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington.
     Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St., Wilmington, Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 to - 8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 7 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

John F. Becker, Jr.
     John F. Becker Jr., 65, of Fairborn, died Friday (Aug. 3, 2007) at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Faye Arnett. They were married for 20 years.
     Mr. Becker was born June 10, 1942, in Dayton, son of the late John and Dorothy Botts Becker. He was a volunteer fireman with Washington and Chester townships. He was a member of the F&AM in Dayton. He was an elder of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
     In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, John F. (Kathy) Becker III of Wilmington, Kevin (Lora) Becker of New Carlisle and Michael (Angie) Rogers of Tipp City; five daughters, Kristen (Dean) Billingsley St. John of Wilmington, Jennifer (Paul) Dunn of Shepherd, Mont., Kimberly (Delwyn) Price of Midvale, Utah, Mary Rogers of Springfield and Susan Becker of Fairborn; 23 grandchildren; a great grandchild; a brother, Frederick (Janet) Becker of Beavercreek; a sister, Joyce Becker of Centerville; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Howard Becker.
     Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, with burial in the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any National City Bank. Charles "Chuck" Luby
     Charles "Chuck" Luby, 64, of Wilmington, went home to his Father and Savior on Saturday (Sept. 12, 2009) at the Miami Valley Hospital after suffering injuries from an auto accident.
     He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Ruth Snodgrass. He is survived by his second wife, Katherine Hackney Luby. They were married in August, 1990.
     Mr. Luby was born Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1945, in Valejo, Calif., son of the late Monteford and Mary Cherrie Braid Luby.
     He worked at NCR, National City and Assurant Insurance. He enjoyed roller skating, motorcycle and bicycle riding, bowling and singing. He was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held numerous callings over the years. He loved animals and was a dedicated blood donor. He loved his family and talked of them often.
     In addition to his second wife, he is survived by nine children, Cherrie (Robert) Alziebler, Nathaniel (Heather) Luby, Elizabeth (Gary) Schow, Jayne (Jeremy Campbell) Luby, John (Kathleen) Becker, Kristen (Dean) St. John, Jennifer (Paul) Dunn, Kevin (Lora) Becker and Kimberly (Delwyn) Price; grandchildren, Mikayla, David and Anna Alziebler, Connor Luby, Megan, Charles and Benjamin Schow, Ashley Hurley, Kyle Becker, James (Melissa) Billingsley, K. Dawn (Scott Blacker) Billingsley, D. Allen, Samuel(Sarah Payton) and Jeweliann Billingsley, Cody St. John, Danielle (Lenny) Barnhart, JP, Anna, Rebekah, Sarah, Ashley and Aaron Dunn, Tony and William Slone, and Joshua, Adam, Azoa, Emma, Seth and Caleb Price; and four great-grandchildren, Kendra Billingsley, Aries Barnhart, AJ Blacker and baby Billingsley.
     In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Thomas Luby and Kenneth Becker; and a brother, Donald Luby.
     Friends will be received 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 2415 West State Route 73, Wilmington.
     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, branch President Frank Kennedy officiating, with burial in Clinton County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church.

     CHARLES LUBY -- Burial was Friday in Clinton Memory Gardens for Charles "Chuck" Luby. Frank Kennedy and Monte Anderson officiated. Pallbearers were Nathaniel Luby, John Becker III, Kevin Becker, Delwyn Price, Gary Schow and Robert Alziebler. Honorary pallbearers were David Alziebler, Charles Schow, Benjamin Schow, Conner Luby, Kyle Becker, James Billingsley, D. Allen Billingsley, Samuel Billingsley, Cody St. John, J.P. Dunn, Aaron Dunn, Tony Slone, William Slone, Josh Price, Adam Price, Seth Price and Jeremy Campbell. Arrangements were under the direction of FISHER-EDGINGTON FUNERAL HOME, Wilmington.
