 | McKay Clan Meets Here
The 16th annual reunion of the McKay Clan was held at the Mimslyn Hotel in Luray on Sunday, July 30th. Fifty-one members were present. A delightful dinner was served and swimming facilities provided by the hotel managment.
The presiding president, Mrs. Mary McKay House, conducted a most pleasant and entertaining meeting for the clan. Door prizes were won by holders of lucky tickets and prizes distributed to all the children present.
Robert H. McKay and his wife, Charlotte, entertained the clan by showing and narrating film taken in West Nigeria, Africa on their recent tour with a missionary group. Miss Martha McKay sang a solo.
Members elected to office for next year include: Winston McKay of Winchester, president; Birch McKay of Boyce, vice- president: Miss Penny McKay of Luray, secretary-treasurer.
Next year's meeting will be held on the last Sunday in July. A location committee consisting of Mrs. Lucy McKay Ray, Mrs. Randolph Barbee and Mrs. Hudnul Hicks was appointed to decide on the place of meeting for next year.
Prizes were given to children for best talent performance. This was won by seven year old Martha McKay, daughter of Richard McKay of Falls Church. Also a number of door prizes were given. First prize was a table trivit with McKay "Coat of Arms" on it, won by Mrs. LucĂ˝ McKay of Severn Park, Md., who also gave a short talk on property owned by McKays surrounding Luray in which she said that the road in front of the Mimslyn was owned and built in the early eighteen hundreds by Enos McKay, Andrew Barbee and Co. from Luray to New Market.
A prayer of dismissal was said by Winston McKay.

McKay Family Holds Reunion
The 16th annual reunion of the McKay Clan was held at the Mimslyn Hotel in Luray on July 30. Fifty-one members were present.
