She teaches at the Detroit Conservatory of Music and frequently gives recitals all over the United States.
Four prizes were given as follows: To the person coming from the greatest distance-Mrs. George Seward of White Plains, N. Y.; to the perosn responsible for having the most people present, Mrs. Marshall Gore, Sr., of Arlington, Va.; the door prize to an adult, Mrs. Jack Hicks, and the door prize to a child, Gerald Dudeck.
Officers who were elected for next year are as follows: President, Mrs. W. K. McKay of Luray; vice president, Mrs. Lucy McKay Ray of Severna Park, Md., and secretary-treasurer, Mrs. J. Callaway Brown of Bedford, Va.
Appreciation was expressed to several members of the family who have worked so faithfully for the success of the organization-to Hunter McKay, whose records are now in the University of Virginia Library; to Mrs. Pauline Golden and her food committee, and to the president, Dearing L. McKay of Alexandria.
After it was decided to hold the next meeting in September 1954, the Clan disbanded for the year 1953.
