Collett-McKay Picnic

The 93rd annual Collett-McKay family reunion will be held on the picnic grounds three and one-half miles southeast of New Burlington Saturday, with basket dinner at noon. Only once in all the years has rain prevented the serving of dinner at the noon hour. All family connections are urged and invited to attend.

Yup, Clinton County Has a Rail Fence

LINCOLN'S SPECIAL--Yes, there still is one of these left in Clinton county. Abraham Lincoln spent his youth with axe and rail. Fences like this once held stock in farm fields throughout the midwest. Now only this last vestige of the traditional rail fence remains at the Collett-McKay picnic grounds on Gurneyville Rd. (Allen Studio Photo).
