ANNUAL COLLETT AND M'KAY REUNION HELD

The 62nd annual Collett-McKay family reunion was held Saturday, on the Bernard McKay farm, on the Antram Corner-New Burlington road.
This is the oldest family reunion in the United States. The main feature of the reunion is the fact that H. W. Collett, of New Burlington, who attended the first reunion 62 years ago, has attended every reunion held since that time, Saturday being the 62nd time he was present.
Hiram Poor was also present, he for the last 35 reunions made coffee in large old fashioned kettles for the picnickers.
The attendance this year was smaller than in previous years, owing to the death, Friday, of Plez Maurice Gastineau, at Sidney, husband of Grace Collett Gastineau, his death causing many who previously had attended to stay away as a matter of sympathy.
No program or election of officers is held, the only law of the reunion being that it be held in the same place, the second Saturday in August, each year.

COLLETT-M'KAY CLAN
TO HOLD 62ND PICNIC

----------

The 62nd annual Collett-McKay picnic will be held at the usual place, on Saturday, August 11.
This is called a picnic because it was started years before the word reunion was known. It is always held the second Saturday in August at the same place in the corner of a beautiful sugar camp where the Collett-McKay clan own four acres of ground in this corner of the woods, used only this one day in the year for the picnic.
Horace W. Collett, of the New Burlington neighborhood, expdcts to be there, this year, and he has been to all the 61 previous ones. Mrs. Mary Frances McKay, who died recently, had attended all the 61 picnics. Three trees were blown down in the June storm, but quite a number of young ones were set out several years ago.
