The forty-third annual Collett-McKay picnic was more largely attended than usual, and was a very pleasant occasion, Quite a number went out from Wilmington. Among those present from a distance were Mrs. Rebecca Nickerson and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nicely, and their two children, of Wichita, Kan. Mr. Nicely is connected with the schools of Oklahoma. Frank Shambaugh, of Chicago, was present after an absence of a number of vears. He is prominently identified with the land department of the Illinois Central railroad.
The annual reunion of the Collett & McKay families was held at the usual place on Saturday.

Wilmington Journal:--- The forty-third annual Collett-McKay picnic and reunion will be held at the usual place on next Saturday. This, the pioneer family reunion in Clinton county, has been held in the same grove on the second Saturday in August for forty-two times, and has never been prevented nor broken up by rain. A few members of the families interested have never missed one of the annual gatherings.
