The McKay and Collett annual family re-union was held last Saturday, the 14th, in D. M. Collett's grove. About three hundred persons, mostly of the family connection, were present. Large tables were spread richly covered with appetite provoking delicacies of every kind. After dinner the time was spent in social conversation, and renewing old acquaintances, till about 4 o'clock, when the crowd began to disperse to meet again next year. These family gatherings have been kept up several years. They afford a delightful social time, and are well calculated to maintain that kind, sympathizing regard which should always exist among relatives. We acknowledge they may not always be good for dyspepsia.
