The Collett and McKay Picnic.

From an esteemed correspondent at Gurneyville, we are informed that the Tenth Annual Reunion of the Collett and McKay families was held in the grove on D. M. Collett's farm, on last Saturday, the 12th inst. The day was favorable, and the families and their friends to the number of two hundred and fifty, assembled and enjoyed a general hand shake, all round. The dinner hour found the long tables fairly groaning beneath the load of luxuries and substantials that had been prepared for the occasion. Rev. W. B. Jackson returned thanks for the manifold blessings vouchsafed to all present, after which the dinner was partaken with a relish that was enjoyable. The correspondent adds, it has been said by some one who had visited former gatherings, that the folks were homely; be that as it may, it was plain to the eye that this year they were decidedly Hayesy; ninety-four per cent. of the voters present were of that complexion.

The regular Annual Reunion of the Collett and McKay families will be held on Saturday next, the 12th inst., in the grove on the farm of D. M. Collett where previous reunions have been held. These family pic-nics are delightful, and should the weather prove propitious the coming one will not be different from those of previous years.
