Gainesboro Cemetery, formerly known as Back Creek Cemetery is located in the village of Gainesboro in Frederick County, Va. It was at one time the adjoining burying ground for Back Creek Preparatory Meeting. The original meeting was laid down at the turn of the twentieth century and the meeting house torn down. A plaque stands on the spot the meetinghouse was located. Quite a few descendants of Isaac Steer and Hattill Varman are buried there. Some of whom attended meetings at Back Creek Meeting House. The cemetery is now a community cemetery and still has people buried there.
