Immediately after their marriage, Moses & Elinor Brinton removed to Leacock Township, Lancaster County, and are the common ancestors of all of the Brinton name in that county. On their house is a date stone bearing Moses's initials and Elinor's, also the date of construction. Although the house is still standing, it is hardly recognizable owing to the addition of numerous wings and porches. Mill Creek flows in the meadow near by. Moses took a certificate from Concord to Sadsbury Meeting, and became overseer of Lampeter Meeting in 1752.
Actress Zooey Deschanel is a descendant of Elinor Varman and Moses Brinton through their daughter Elinor who married Thomas Henderson.
