William is a descendant of Cretien DuBois who begins the DuBois Family section of my records through this line: William Hite Hough -> Eleanor Hite -> Sarah Eltinge (who m. Col. Jno. Hite (son of Joist Hite)) -> Rebecca Van Meter -> Sarah DuBois -> Louis DuBois -> Cretien DuBois.

According to Hinshaw's Quaker records William was disowned for marrying Mary Ann Chalmers. She was probably a non-member. He was reinstated & wife & 9 chn. were recieved into Fairfax MM on 12 3mo 1834.

  Phebe, married: W. H. Hough, of Baltimore, MD; According to Hinshaw's Quaker records Phebe was disowned for "marrying out of unity" on 10 2mo 1841 and joined a Methodist Episcopal Church.
• Elizabeth, born: 20 8mo 1822;
  Elizabeth, married: Joseph B. Hough, According to Hinshaw's Quaker records he was "complained of for marrying out of unity to first cousin" on 16 12mo 1846. His acknowledgement was accepted on 10 2mo 1847 and she was "condemned for marrying contrary to discipline" on 10 2mo 1847. Her acknowledgement accepted on 10 3mo 1847. Also, from Hinshaw's records on 12 10mo 1859 Joseph B. & Elizabeth, reported they had joined another Society and asked release from Friends, which was granted, they now living in Newton, Iowa.
