Abigail and Lewis are cousins through the Hollingsworth family.

According to Hopewell Friends History, Lewis was "recieved by request" into Hopewell MM on 4 11mo 1813. According to Hinshaw's Quaker records a Lewis Hollingsworth was disowned for non-attendance and "associating himself with the Seceders" on 1 5mo 1833 by Hopewell MM. This could be the same Lewis listed here. Also from Hinshaw's records & Hopewell Friends we find that Abigail was "granted a certificate to" Fairfax MM on 10 8mo 1854 from Hopewell Mm. Also, according to a handwritten booklet in the R. E. Griffith collection it is stated that they lived on the "Barrett" farm back of "Friendly Grove" inherited by Abigail from her father Isaac Parkins. Also that they moved from the "Barrett" farm to Waterford, Va.

Lewis was living in Frederick Co. Va. & Abigail was also living in Frederick Co. Va. prior to marriage.

All chn. of above were born in Frederick Co. Va.
