David Jr. is a descendant of Cretien DuBois who begins the DuBois Family section of my records through this line: David Brown Jr. -> Sarah Hite -> Sarah Eltinge (who m. Col. Jno. Hite (son of Joist Hite)) -> Rebecca Van Meter -> Sarah DuBois -> Louis DuBois -> Cretien DuBois.

According to Hinshaw's Quaker records, David along with some of his brothers and sisters were recieved into Hopewell MM at the request of their mother and consent of their father on 1 2mo 1779. According to Hinshaw's records a Mary Brown was "recieved by request" into Hopewell MM on 6 4mo 1837.

  • Samuel Cornelius, born: 10 10mo 1820; died: 1858; Bourbon Co. KY; According to Hinshaw's Quaker records his parents renewed a formal request that he be recieved a member of Hopewell MM on 2 7mo 1834. The request was later denied on 6 5mo 1835. Did not marry.
