VA; Susannah Brown, born: 29 6mo 1771; died: 7 3mo 1847; Paris, TN; Dau. of David Brown and Sarah Hite; From Hopewell Friends History, p. 391 we find a transcribed copy of their marriage certificate: ![]() Susannah is a descendant of Cretien DuBois who begins the DuBois Family section of my records which has not been added yet through this line: Susannah Brown -> Sarah Hite -> Sarah Eltinge (who m. Col. Jno. Hite (son of Joist Hite)) -> Rebecca Van Meter -> Sarah Du Bois -> Louis DuBois -> Cretien DuBois. Joist Hite, together with Robert Mackay, William Green, and Robert Duff had a dispute over land against Lord Fairfax which resulted in the Fairfax Land Suit. The books pertaining to the land suit can be found in the Library at Lord Fairfax Community College. At the time of her 1st marriage Susannah was living in Frederick Co. Va. Issue: Parkins
