Hannah, married: 6 3mo 1834; David Holmes Clevenger, born: 14 4mo 1806; Berkeley Co. VA (now WV); died: 26 12mo 1869; Frederick Co. VA; buried: Hopewell MM Burial Ground, Frederick Co. VA; See his Find A Grave entry.

According to "Clevenger Pioneers and Descendants", "Hannah was a Quaker although David was not. Subsequent to marriage they were affiliated with Hopewell Friends at Clearbrook, Va. where they were buried". "His will, dated 21 2mo 1867 was recorded in 4mo 1870. It made Provision for taking care of Mary F. Robinson, and Sophie B. and Washington Clevenger (three of their chn.)". According to Hinshaw's Quaker records Hannah was "reported married contrary to discipline" on 4 12mo 1834 by Hopewell MM. This was probably because David was a non member.

    David, married: Alice Luvenia Carper, From "Clevenger Pioneers and Descendants" He went west. Nothing further known. He was listed as single in 1890 therefore marriage took place after 1890. A News article indicating on 3 4mo 1945 that among others a David H. Clevenger signified that he wanted to become a member of the Izaac Walton League. Could this be a descendant of David Henry? The name of his wife was found in a Google search on a website called "hoyfamily.net" which no longer exists. Efforts to retrieve the documents through Internet Archive yielded no results.
