According to Hinshaw's Quaker records Edward "came to Lincoln (Va.) as Principal of Friends Seminary recieved in membership on own request 14 10mo 1886". Also, Edward B. & Marianna (Smith) Rawson were granted a certificate to New York MM N.Y. (H) on 17 12mo 1891. It was recieved in New York MM on 3 2mo 1892. With their children they were recieved back on certificate from New York MM N.Y. dated 12 11mo 1917. They then removed and were granted a certificate to Haddonfield MM N.J. on 13 7mo 1924 'where they will be identified with Camden PM N.J.'"
