According to Hinshaw's Quaker records Josiah was "recieved by request" into Hopewell MM on 10 11mo 1892.

Josiah has this written on his tombstone "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." Mary Jane has this written on her tombstone "whose aim in life was to make others happy, her children arise up and call her blessed, her husband also praiseth her."
