These are the webmaster's ancestors.

Joseph Steer bought land located northeast of Albin from William Rannells in 1766 and built a house on that property. The house is now called "Long Green". Some of his descendants continued to own the property until 1803, when it was sold to an Alexander Robinson of Baltimore. I have a newsclipping of the house in the Newsclippings binder. Joseph's will was dated 16 1mo 1793 and was proved 1 9mo 1795. It names his wife, sons and daughters and his wife's dau. from her 1st marriage. Exrs: wife and sons Joseph and Isaac. Wit: Isaac, Samuel Lupton, Jonathan Wright.

See Newsclippings and other biographical sketches.

All children of above were born in Lancaster Co. PA except Isaac.  They moved to Frederick Co. VA before his birth which took place a few miles North-West from Winchester (probably in the house mentioned above).
