She also lived in Frederick Co. Va. at the time of marriage. According to Hopewell Friends History a James Raley was "recieved on a certificate from" Fairfax MM into Hopewell MM on 5 4mo 1779. Also, a James Raley was "granted a certificate to" Crooked Run Meeting from Hopewell MM on 3 5mo 1784. Also, James & Rachel Raley were "recieved on a certificate from" Crooked Run MM into Hopewell MM on 3 8mo 1789, and James & Rachel Raley & chn. Joshua, Hannah, Abigail, Asa, Ann were "granted a certificate to" Westland MM from Hopewell MM on 4 5mo 1801. James was listed as an Overseer for an unknown Mtg. within the period 1759-1851. He was also listed as a Committee Member for Hopewell MM within the period 1791-1811.
