These are the webmaster's ancestors.

They came from County Antrim, Ireland with their daughter Catherine. Certificate from Ballendary Monthly Meeting, dated 5th mo., 7th, 1736, received at New Garden Meeting, Chester County, Pennsylvania, 6th mo., 27th., 1737. Three sons: Nicholas, John, & Joseph , preceeded them to this country. Isaac and Ruth followed their sons to New Garden MM., but settled within the limits of Sadsbury meeting.   Isaac is the progenitor of this American Quaker Steer family record.  I have the entire "Steer Genealogy" by Isaac S. Russell on disks along with many updates to different branches. I have been in the process of updating as much of this genealogy as possible for a number of years. Also, there is a book called "The Descendants of David Steere & Phebe Milhous" which is available for viewing in the archives of the Handley Library of Winchester, VA using the index call-sign of 929.2 STE.
