Dee Ann has his birth year guessed at ca. 1765. His will which was dated 4 Apr 1843 was probated on 25 Oct 1843. Children are named according to the will and birthdates are from Jeryl Bennett's website. Wife's name and birth & death dates are also from Jeryl Bennett's website. In Dee Ann's book on the Sowers family she gives different birth years for unnamed children, plus an eighth unnamed child which came from Census records for August Co. Va. Hopefully with the recent finding of John C. Sowers' Will by Dee Ann Buck we will have a better picture of this particular branch of our Sowers family.
