In 1681, Mary arrived in the ship "Paradise" and settled in Burlington Co. NJ. William arrived to New Jersey in the ship "Kent" in 1677. He was the first white man to put foot on what is now Burlington, NJ. He was a carpenter by trade, and built the first two houses in Burlington, and the first corn mill in West Jersey. William lived into his ninety's date of his death is not known.

The William W. Hinshaw's Vol. II has some Matlack information as does Wm. Nelson. Since our Sarah Matlack was the daughter of the emigrate, and our Matlack line melts into the Haines family line, I am really only interested in find out the names of her siblings and their children.
