John McKay, born: ca. 1777;

He made a statement in Shenandoah Co. VA Chancery Case so we have his signature. He either removed from the area or died before 1840. We know of only one child (Dee Ann Buck).

This is new information Dee Ann discovered after completing the last edition of "A Tabulated Genealogy of the Family of Robert Mackay Sr. " The source links are to her postings on the archived Discussion Forum about this. Eventually I will put more original notes on this as source info.

  Sally, married: 29 5mo 1828; Haines McKay, born: ca. l801; Frederick Co. VA; They requested a certificate to remove to Miami MM Ohio from Hopewell MM Virginia 3 6mo 1823, and they were received by Miami MM Ohio on 28 1mo 1824. They sold their VA lands by 1833 and removed to OH. On their marriage bond (which I have) named her father as John McKay. If they had children this is a double line of the same Mackay/Mckay (Dee Ann Buck).
