In Simon CARSON, Sr.'s estate's division of slaves which was divided into nine portions, Rebecca CARSON, the only child of Jared W. CARSON, deceased, received Ellen, value $900 and Selah, value $350.

Named as his daughter: Martha Rebecca CARSON, if she dies without issue, then that part of his estte devised to him from his late wife, not named, to go to his borther-in-law, John W. McKAY.
The rest of the property to go to his sister, Mrs. Jane R. WELLS and brother, James H. CARSON.
Named as his brother: James H. CARSON to be the guardian of his daughter, Martha Rebecca CARSON.
Named as his slaves: Jones; John; Stephen; and Milley to be freed at the age of 21 years old and to have $25 for a "freedom suit". Also, stated that "two Negro children for which I have contracts" they may be hired out like the others freed at the age of 21 years.

A statement in the probate section states that the real estate by his will devised to his daughter, Martha Rebecca CARSON, but the profits needed to pay off his debts, and there is a claim not settled on behalf of the estate agent, Mrs. McKAY, wife of Robert S. McKAY, dated 20 Mar 1855.
