From Hopewell Friends History, p. 242 we find a transcribed copy of their marriage certificate: ![]() Andrew McKay was the oldest son of Robert McKay Jr. and the oldest grandson of Robert MacKay Sr. Andrew was the family family representative and agent in the Fairfax Landsuit. See Vol.6 for notes on the Ridgeway family. Jane's sister, Rachel, married Jacob McKay Sr, Andrew's brother; and her brother, Richard married her husband's sister Margaret McKay. Andrew's will was dated 30 10mo 1802 and probated 3 12mo 1804, see Volume 11 for family wills. He left a large tract of real estate on Crooked Run which was divided among his children. The name of his farm was "Orchard Farm." See Andrew's Last Will and Testament. The following are the names of his children, and all were born in Frederick (now Warren) Co.
