See some photos of their house located in Cedarville, Warren Co. VA.

Robert Jr. has been confused with Robert Sr. on many occasions by genealogists, newspaper reporters and possibly others. The two main confusions involve the house he lived in at Cedarville which has been mistaken as being the home of Robert Mackay Sr. A sign marking the location of that house posted by cousin John R. Rust mistakenly says the 'home of Robert McKay Sr.'. Some genealogists have mistakenly said that Robert Mackay Sr. had come before Friends Meeting due to being overtaken by alcohol. Actually, it was Robert Mackay Jr. who had the problem with alcohol and not his father.
