[Home] [Partial Genealogy Records]Josiah Foster RecordJosiah Foster, born: 10 6mo 1682; Burlington Co. NJ??; died: 9 1mo 1770; Egg Harbor, Atlantic Co. NJ; Josiah, married: 5mo 1705; Haddonfield, Camden Co. NJ; Amy (unknown), born: 4 3mo 1685; These are the webmaster's ancestors. Since we know that a number of our Quaker families had arrived into N.J. by 1677, it is very likely that Josiah was born in this county. Their family records can be found L.D.S. #20463 "Camden Co. N.J Quaker Records." This record recorded their marriage date but failed to give Amy's maiden name. The record reads, "Josiah Foster was born 4 mos 1682, Amy Foster the wife of said Josiah. They were married 3mos....1705." It seems odd to me that they would give their marriage date, without supplying Amy maiden name, unless her maiden name was Foster ? In any case I would gather from the above record that they were married in Camden Co. N.J. The dates listed in this paragraph are in "Old Style" (Julian calendar) which is why they do not match the records listed which have been converted to "New Style" (Gregorian). Issue: Foster
