Francis Collins was born 6th of January 1635 in Oxford, England, the son of Edward & Mary. He moved to London where he was a brick mason and in that place in 1663 he married Sarah Mayham , where their children were born. He became one of the followers of George Fox, and was imprisoned for his religious beliefs. In 1677 after his imprisonment, was over he left England in the ship "Kent" for New Jersey. He settled near Haddonfield and became a successful man and was one of the Judges of Gloucester Co. in 1686.
