Tristan Samuel Nixon, 18 months, of Winchester, VA left his Mommas arms and woke up in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday afternoon, October 17, 2012 at Childrens National Medical Center, Washington, DC, after a long and courageous fight.
Tristan was born March 25, 2011 in Winchester, VA, the son of Keith Nixon and Paula Bunner Nixon.
Along with his parents, Tristan is survived by his paternal grandparents, David Nixon of Winchester, Brenda Long, and husband, Rusty, of Winchester and paternal great-grandmother Elizabeth Sager; maternal grandparents, Paul and Linda Bunner of Winchester; one brother, Jayden Nixon; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tristan will long be remembered for his beautiful, engaging smile, his sweet spirit and the way he commanded a room. He touched lives everywhere he went with the courage he showed. He will be terribly missed but we look forward to the day he meets us in heaven.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor David Martin officiating. Pallbearers will be Jayden Nixon, Timothy Schraff, Ben Schraff, Dan Jessup and Edward Schraff.
