Virginia Beach - Died February 8, 2012 at age 68.
Mr. Brockman graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, VA class of 1961, and Virginia Tech class of 1965. After serving in the United States Navy as a commander, where he flew the Grumman S-2 Tracker, Mr. Brockman had a career with the United States Postal Service from which he retired in 2010.
He is preceded in death by his father Albert Brockman, mother Isabelle McKay Brockman Hicks, and beloved dog Annie.
He is survived by his son Keith Roger Brockman and his wife Sara Elizabeth Brockman; his cousins Pete Mowbray and Elizabeth (Betty) Usher; and his lifelong friend Barbara-Jeane Wool.
The family wishes to thank Dr. James Schneider and the staff of Sentara Leigh Hospital for their compassionate care of Mr. Brockman.
There will be a memorial service honoring Mr. Brockman's life and loving dedication to his friends and family at Virginia Beach Christian Church, 2225 Rose Hall Drive, on February 18 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Greyhound Adoption Agency, VA Affiliate at 757.486.7956.
Mr. Brockman will be remembered for his loving kindness and will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
