Spring City, Pa., and New Port Ritchie, Fla., passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of Thomas Heflybower, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Geraldine (Tyson) Diemer.
Chickie was a 1946 Spring City High school graduate. She was an extremely gifted artist and had a passion for making beautiful ceramics.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Jacqui Bailey, wife of William Bailey Jr., and Kym Heflybower, wife of Edwin Androwick, of Pottstown, and one sister, Nancy Krauss, of Spring City.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased in death by her son, Thomas S Heflybower, husband of Sheila Flower, her sister, Jacquelyn Cody, and granddaughter, Jane Christman, wife of Scott Walters.
Arrangements are being handled by Houck and Gofus Funeral Home Inc.
