Katherine D. Wingfield, 81, of Winchester, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Wingfield was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Gainesboro, the daughter of Emma Brown. She was a caregiver at Westminster-Canterbury in Winchester and a receptionist for Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
She was a member of Ebenezer Christian Church near Gore.
She married Scott O. Wingfield on July 10, 1944, in Hagerstown, Md. Mr. Wingfield died Nov. 18, 1975.
Surviving are a son, Randolph S. Wingfield of Winchester; two daughters, Louise Milburn of Winchester and Ann Wolfe of Augusta, W.Va.; a brother, Larry Loy of Star Tannery; and nine grandchildren.
Two brothers, Glenn Loy and Roy Loy, are deceased.
A private service is planned. Inurnment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery near Gore.
Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester 22601.
Giffin Funeral Home, Capon Bridge, W.Va., is handling arrangements.
