Uncle Perry was a wonderful, thoughtful man who loved his family and friends. I will always remember his smiling face and kind ways. We lost my dad on Sept. 30th, 2002 and he loved Uncle Perry like a brother. I now look up in the sky and can imagine that they are together shaking hands, hugging, and chatting about the good old days. We will miss Uncle Perry and are blessed with our fond memories together. Our love and thoughts go out to Aunt Aurelia, cousin Betty, cousin PD and their families. God Bless you all.Love, Diane, Mike, Heather and Paul Geddings

The world needs so many more people like Perry: kind, funny, caring, honest, interested in family and community. He was loved by everyone who ever met him. What a great loss for us left behind. I know he will make heaven even better just by being there. We all loved him so. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Wayne, Dianne, Keith and Jason

Here's another entry added to the guestbook for Perry Mowbray.

January 6, 2004

I don't even know where to start. Kay and Perry were my mom's (Francine Way) neighbors growing up, and my godparents. I remember so many wonderful trips to see them throughout my childhood, that I decided to move to Virginia from New Jersey. Although as time passed, I've not kept in touch as I would have liked, they are never far from my heart. I remember countless War stories... I don't believe a greater storyteller on the topic has ever lived... trips to Hollywood Cemetery & Bill's BBQ... the best fried chicken (in saved grease!)and "home-made" biscuits in the world... the way he called Kay "Momma" always made me smile... playing Po-kee-no until long past bedtime... home-made waffles at breakfast...

When I received the letter, I was stunned... then crushed. I should rejoice in the wonderful life Perry led, and the positive influence he's had on so many lives, including mine. My deepest sympathy and sadness go out to the entire Mowbray family, especially Momaneeze. All my love, Theresa Marie Dyson
