I had just heard that Asa Moore Janney had died on June 11, 2002.
I'm not sure if a family connection exists because of his middle name of "Moore" but he was a very prominent figure among the Friends of Goose Creek Monthly Meeting in Lincoln and in fact prominent throughout Loudoun County, Va.
He was of course descended from the well-known Janney family which did intermarry with some of the families covered on this website.
