My line of Taylors (Group 18) lived in Edgefield Co. SC then removed to Warren Co. GA then to Logan Co. KY to Union Co. KY where my Joshua Taylor died.

All over Ancestry Trees, L.D.S. and Heritage people have posted the wrong line of parentage for my Taylor and many other Taylor Families. All want to be members of The Taylor Family of VA who produced two American Presidents.

L.D.S. library has two films land deed for above county 1795 to 1798 and I will be ordering early films.

I ran across two Mackay/Mckay men father and son. L.D.S. 23875 image 424 17 Mar 1796 Archibald Mackay (signed the document) gifted to his son Hugh Mackay certain named horses, livestock and household furniture.

I know they are not related to our group, if related to some of the other Y markers on Mackay site, I have no idea.

If I find additional information on these two men, will posted here.

I have ordered films to figure out my Taylor Family of Edgefield Co. SC-- wills, land deeds (some on line) bonds etc.... I have all ready figured out that there were at least three different Taylor Families living in the area. One direct from Scotland and another man from VA.

I have seen HOLLINGSWORTH living in the area. I hope before the films arrive to figure out if any belong to my mother's Hollingsworth and the Hollingsworth linked to Hannah MacKay (father's side) who married into the same Hollingsworth Family.

The Hollingsworths living in said county members of Valentine Hollingsworth group. I will be posting items about them on my Ancestry Tree. I think wills of Edgefield Co. SC might be on Ancestry.
