I do not think anyone on Ancestry is working on my small group of Fox members of Dublin Meeting House, Ireland. There could be Y markers linking the family back to Yorkshire, England. I have one paper statement that this group of Fox did come from this location.

You can look on Find A Grave other families of this surname in Ireland early enough to be linked to our group, but I think unlikely.

I wish I could say my Elizabeth Fox belong to the famous group of Fox which George Fox b. 1624 in Leicestershire, England d. 1691 in London, England, married Margaret Askew, but they had no children. He was the son of Christopher Fox and Mary Lago, but I see no possible link to our Elizabeth Fox.

What I have been able to piece together two men about the same age group as our Elizabeth and their family records recorded in Dublin Quaker records.

1. ............Fox b. 1600 we have two Y marker Robert Fox born 1650 and one given as Robert Fox born 1671.

2. John Fox m. 1660 Anne
3. Robert Fox records say from Morley, England
4. Elizabeth Fox b. 1647 m. c1663 Wm. Cooke of Dublin, Ireland
These three are about the same generation all members of Quaker Sect

2. John Fox m. Anne........? his son's birth recorded in Lurgan Quaker Records and active in later records
5. George Fox b. 25 Jul 1664 m. 19 Nov 1691 Jane Nicholson named of their children recorded, I have
Family Finder match with researcher who descends from this couple.

3. Robert Fox stated from Morley (West Riding) Yorkshire, England
6. David Fox of Dublin b. c1664 m. 5 May 1687 Dublin MM, to Sarah Thomson named of children
found Quaker records. Few compiled sources mention him.

I have not been able to link our Elizabeth Fox to said John and Robert Fox, hope others will give me their help. It would appear others on Ancestry want to link above George Fox to the group in Leicestershire. When I ask just for Irish Fox Ancestry sends me on to the groups in England.

I have not been able to find any passenger lists with any listing of Elizabeth Cooke or William Cooke or Nathaniel Parke or her brother Thomas Fox.

I think the Quakers Records for DE and PA are on line for our Cooke and Hollingsworth and other allied families. Not all passengers are listed.

I have not been able to find any passenger lists with any listing of Elizabeth Cooke or William Cooke or Nathaniel Parke or her brother Thomas Fox.
Wm. Penn's Fleet 1682 made up of ships: Bristol Factor, John and Sarah, Amity, Freeman, Hester and Hannah, Lyon, Friendship, Mary or Mercy, Society, Golden Hinde, Samuel, Friends'Adventure, Providence, Isabella and Katherine, Hopewell, Lamb, Bristol Factor, Welcome, Jeffey, ANTELOPE, Unicorn, Submission and Adventure.

The "historians" have placed our Hollingsworth as coming over in ship "Antelope". Left from Belfast, Ireland for PA. The master was a Edward Cooke, do not know if a clue or not. The only one of "the group had any Irish connections, insofar as the records show." "Port books do not list passengers per say, but do list names of those who loaded taxable goods aboard any outbound shipping. Again, and very sadly, the collection of Port Books doesn't come down to the 19th century."

I think this is the ship we want to look at for transportation of our line of Hollingsworth, Cooke and Fox. Do not know if can be proven. Might be reference to Elizabeth (Fox) Cooke arrival in Quaker records. That might be our only hope.

Check out "Cyndi's List. I just found a site called "Reconstructing the Antelope Passenger List" Belfast to Philadelphia, 9 December 1682.

I have been spending my time looking at our Fox, Cooke and Hollingsworth Families. I need to closer to the documentation for our Dixon and Gregg. They could have also come over in the same ship "Antelope".

I BELIEVE this is the same Gregg family that would have later links with members of my Mackay/McKay family. Other have our Dixon and Gregg going back to Scotland but I have no idea if they have the correct information.

Note for Gerard Mckay the Taggart Family was also member of Lurgan Meeting House of Ireland. Have no idea if the same group linked to his family in MO.

According to what is posted the surname Gregg was changed from MacGregors. If you click "Search" on any of your ancestor's name what they have on line will pop up.

My oldest John Gregg (RM269 Y marker posted on Family Tree DNA) all kinds of items will pop up. Good piece on his son known as Quaker Gregg. I just have not check all of it out as now and posted items to my tree.

L.D.S. 1037060 called "computer print out" of church records in GB. Entries are typed and not original records. The village of Morley, West Riding, Yorkshire, England is on this film. It turns out the same film on line with Ancestry. I was looking for more information about Robert Fox in the village. The dates were not late enough. This man living Ireland member of Quaker Meeting House, said to have come from said village. One more film for church records of Morley, England to view.

I found surnames Atkinson, intermarried with Hollingsworth in Ireland. They had surname "Houldesworth" a Sarah born 29 Mar 1657 daughter of John. I do not know if should be Hollingsworth.

I am told two different Hollingsworth Y marker kits do go back to Yorkshire, England, but this DNA project do not share with the public their important information. So I really do not know if this paper documentation taking Fox from Ireland back to England is pointing to this DNA information. Point is if Hollingsworth came from York, England to Ireland did my Fox Family known to have come from Morley, England to Ireland, did they families know each other in this location in England.

Do not have a led with Cook/Cooke coming into Ireland. I do not think these Hollingsworth, Fox and/or Cooke thought of themselves as being Irish.

Hope more will turn up.

I did get an e-mail last month that Roy B. Isbell's sister was interested in finding out more about Martha Wakefield. I am posting to my tree all the various blood lines from Martha Wakefield and George Hiatt. As fate would have it I am searching for the parentage of Mary Catherine Hiatt b. 1742 married Henry Zumwalt. This line goes into my mother's Hopgood line.

So I hope to kill two birds with one stone. Figuring out all female descends of Martha Wakefield to confirm my mtDNA line and fill in the ancestry of my Sarah E. Snyder.

I have 0 separation with test results of said Roy B. Isbell and I have three Family Finder for members of Harding Family that are also descends of said Martha Wakefield. All placed on my tree.

We also have another 0 separation in the female Margaret Jones born 1680 Wales died 1727 married Richard Watts. This is the mtDNA sample supplied by Bertha Apple. This line cuts through Strother Family of early VA. Same family on Michael L. McKay's chart.

Also have 0 separation with Mr. Raymond C. Coontz, but gives only information is line Davis of Wales. He does not answer his e-mail.

Then I have another kit with a researcher's DNA match Eliza Jones born 1831 died 1913 town of Swansea, Wales. It was established as Viking trading post. Since I have a complete match with a sample in Norway, my theory is my most distant female ancestress part of Viking group left Norway for Wales and then up to Northern Ireland.

Both my Elizabeth Fox (born 1647 Ireland died 1735 MA) and Martha Wakefield born 1700 later removed to Colonies were members of Lugan MM , Antrim Ireland.

I do not think it far a field to believe that my Elizabeth Fox was aunt or great-aunt to said Martha Wakefield. And very likely Elizabeth's mother removed from Wales to Northern Ireland where she married Mr. Fox.

This seem to be what direction the DNA seems to be pointing. I can't find records in Northern Ireland, perhaps some can be turned up in Wales.

Will check to see if village records exist for said town Swansea, Wales.
