I agree that you need to read/see the actual records. What record was used to determine Elizabeth was born in Ireland. and what record showed the death of William Cooke? Are the wills of Thomas Fox and Nathaniel Parke viewable and online?
Thanks again for your help
It seems like L.D.S. library has placed on line first wills, then land deeds. I like to study both. I have seen compiled wills in books for both Nathaniel Parke and Wm. Cook.

There are some compiled books dealing with Quaker Records on line through L.D.S. library. Ancestry has some of the Quaker Marriage Records on line.

I believe the story about Elizabeth Fox, her brother Thomas Fox, first husband Wm. Cook/Cooke and 2nd husband Nathaniel Parke all friends who lived in Ireland and came together to DE I first saw on line Hollingsworth Books.

I have compiled Quaker Records for Chester Co. PA and parts of MD. Just the matter of finding the time to pull the material and posted it on my Ancestry Tree.

All the information I have seen in the past for Valentine Hollingsworth I let pass over my head, because I did not know until early this month I was his descend. My interest in him only because his descends had just intermarried with my Mackay/McKay.

You will want to check out the material Family Tree DNA Project Hollingsworth.

Michel could get you in touch with Hollingsworth Researchers.

There is a great differences between doing research from computer files and reading actual original records. My mtDNA is an original record. All kits point to Wales as the birth location of my oldest known ancestress.

We know the Elizabeth Fox born 1647 Ireland died 1735 married first to Wm. Cook, had four children, he dies on the way over to colonies. She married second 12 Oct 1688 Darby MM records to Nathaniel Parke. I need to see the original record. It should say she was a widow.

Second husband dies 1713 will filed in Philadelphia, PA Nathaniel Parke named his step-family members in his will.

We know Elizabeth's had a brother named Thomas Fox and his will 1699 filed in Darby, Delaware Co. PA. He names as his heirs his sister's family.

So any computer file giving location of Elizabeth Fox as in England there MUST be additional record of a Thomas Fox being born in the same location. I am sure their are thousands of Elizabeth Fox in GB. I have check L.D.S. search they have no computer file for birth of our Elizabeth Fox. Which means a persons has not view the original records and placed the information on line. Not that the material is not present among the various original records.

Hope to find out more next week.
Ancestry Family Finder researcher "crogers1961" descend of Elizabeth Fox's daughter Hannah Cooke who married Henry Oborn their daughter Hannah Oborn married Ezekiel Harlan. Marriage record found in compiled source would be found among original marriage records filed with Concord MM of PA

All the blood lines of our Hannah Sarah Dixon who married George Martin were members of Lurgan, Armagh, Northern Ireland. I will be looking for first the marriage between Elizabeth Fox and Wm. Cook/Cooke. The surnames that I will be pulling items for:Dixon, Harlan, Gregg, James, Wilkinson, Hollingsworth, Ree, Cook and FOX.

Would be nice to see if I can find the mother of our Elizabeth Fox. I have double the known maiden name linked to my mtDNA from where I started. But if I can get more and chase the name down to Wales, that would be nice.

What additional information can be found dealing with our Hollingsworth, I really do not know. People for years have been studying his family. But did they view all these original records or just passing around the same old test compiled in 1950's. I might find nothing new.

I will be posting all new finding linked to my tree on Ancestry.

Most people on Ancestry Tree have our Elizabeth Fox born in PA. Where are their sources? Answer-- they are just copying others work. So to the untrained eye it looks like 40 to 50 people have researched her birth location in fact they have not.

These Quaker records sometimes have recorded the movement of people in and out of a particular Meeting House. There is no question that Valentine Hollingsworth removed from Ireland to DE.

Sure the same will be said about Wm. Cook/Cooke and wife Elizabeth Fox. Personally I have never looked in these records for my blood lines. At the time I knew of Valentine Hollingsworth and Allied Families they were just linked to me by marriage.

However, now that the incorrect information is on line it is impossible to change it.

If you place your tree on the L.D.S. Web Site, other can add, alter, delete etc... the information linked to your tree. Why because they are "working" together on one world tree. The problem I have with this thought, is people are really not doing actual research, they are just moving around computer files.

I agree. It is the same with Henry Morris, almost all of the family trees on ancestry list his birth place as USA not Great Britain. I think most of the info is just taken from another tree already listed. What I find hard to understand is the repeating of data that you can tell is wrong simply by comparing the dates shown.

If they question one entry then they have to question all their material. And that I do not wish to do.

I do believe our Elizabeth Fox born 1647 Ireland? died 1734 PA married Wm. Cook, first husband and father of her four children. I have the names of her children and looking to confirm names of her grandchildren. My closest mtDNA matches I believe are linking up over in Ireland or England.

1. Roy B. Isbell has his oldest known ancestress has Margaret Wakefield born in Ireland, member of Quaker Society removed to colonies, died in NC. She was a preacher among the Society. This family appears to have links with Hiatt and Ogden both Quaker families that lived in Loudoun Co. VA removed all over US.

2. Bertha Apple she only had her oldest known ancestress as Louisa Wingler (1854-1905). I have been able to piece together her oldest known (to me) as Margaret Jones born 1680 died 1737 Westmoreland Co. VA married Richard Watts. I have Family Finder matches with her various surnames but looking for researchers who descend from the following couples. This line links up with Michael's Strother

A. Margaret Jones b. 1680 VA? d. 1737 Westmoreland Co. VA m. Richard Watts, could have matches with his siblings
B. Margaret Watts b. 1700 d. 1754 m. Wm. Strother
C. Margaret A. Strother b. 1726 d. 1786 m. John Robbins
D. Mary Robbins b. 1760 m. Joseph Roberts
E. Sarah Roberts m. John Haynes
F. Catherine Haynes b. 1827 m. John S. Wingler
G. Louisa Wingler b. 1854 d. 1905

3. Raymond C. Coontz only has Davis as oldest known female surname England? or Wales.

All these other kits points to our Elizabeth Fox could be born in Ireland, but I will be looking to see if her mother removed into Ireland from Wales.
If you do a full search on Ancestry-- type in George Fox born 1664 Lurgan, Ireland parents John and Ann Fox. Up will pop another George Fox born Horninghold, Leicestershire, England. Wife Jane Palmer. This is the family of the famous George Fox of England and Colonies belongs.

We want the George Fox member of Lurgan MM born in Ireland (could be Dublin) parents given as John & Jane Fox and he also married a woman named Jane. Their children's birth listed in meeting house records. He could have died in Ireland and never left for NJ, like the other George Fox. Information found on his family L.D.S. #571396.

J.L. Fisher book copyright 2008 "Some Records of Lurgan Quakers of Northern Ireland" can be viewed on line through L.D.S. films. Said George Fox's born 25th day 5 month (July) 1664 parents John and Anne found on MM records. Listing of their children found on film above. Birth started 1692 to 1705. Clearly not the same George Fox given on Ancestry. I have not found out the name of his wife.

Also complied book by Arthur G. Chapman "History of the Religious Society of Friends of Lurgan" we should try to read it.

I believe the Fox Family of Lurgan MM are the same found Dublin MM records along with a small Cooke Family.

There was a David Fox married 3 month (May) 5th day 1687, son of Robert Fox of Morley, West Yorkshire, England, married Sarah Thomson of Dublin. He is mentioned in a book Quaker Wills can be found on line through Ancestry.

Also have the marriage Thomas Fox & Hannah Cook filed 23 Jan 1682 in Dublin. Are the siblings of our Wm. Cook and Elizabeth Fox? We know our Elizabeth did have a brother named Thomas. Is this same man and his wife died without giving him children?

I think the marriage of our Elizabeth Fox to Wm. Cook occurred before marriage records were kept.

I just started today looking at these four films. Hope to learn more.

I have send messages to two researchers who have turned in Y marker kit for Robert Fox of Yorkshire, England. I do not know if the same man. But where once lived in Ireland David Fox son of Robert Fox.

I have also e-mail John Hollingsworth who runs Family Tree DNA Project Hollingsworth. There are 90 kits from men who claim descend from Valentine Hollingsworth. I do not see any matching men who claim descend from the family in Cheshire, England. I can find any match with men of GB.
