why the item found in book Katherine B. Elliott in her book "Early Settlers Mecklenburg County Virginia Volume I.

I hope to find the original statement in the up coming films I have order for Brunswick Co. VA.

Might check Chancey Suit Records found in State of VA web site for that location to see if our Morris fought over legal matters.

There are so many different Morris Families living in early VA and another in Prince George Co. VA and now I know not related to ours.

Yes, I got the copy of Henry Morris' will but I will want to see the original copy on the film I have ordered. Hope to trace his movements from Prince George Co.VA to Brunswick Co. VA. Will want to see his son Henry removed from VA to Orange Co. NC.

I see that Henry Morris had slaves and names are given. I want to see if same slaves in the household of Henry Morris of Orange Co. NC.

The hope is to see if land deeds will yield Henry's wife maiden name.

Dee Ann, I don't know if you have seen this info but I thought I would mention it to you. There is a website
www.myancestrallegacy.com/candall/pafn13.htm
which is titled "Ancestors of Myron Michael Crandall - notes". If you read the info on 325. Michael Cadet Young there are several mentions
of Henry Morris and Drury Stith. If you have not seen this, it may provide you will some leads to follow up.
thanks for all the help you have given me, cathey
I have send an email through Y Search to Reed Morris. We can hope he is still doing genealogy. I do not believe when he did his Y marker test they were offering Family Finder. I would love it if he would expand his DNA Y marker into that DNA gene pool. In the hope we would show a match.

We really need only one more male descend of Henry Morris who died in Brunswick Co. VA to do the Y marker test. This is the only way we can be sure that this is the emigrate true Y marker numbers.

David Buckner is my only direct match with Henry Morris who died in VA. His line through son Richard and to his daughter Rebecca Morris who married Wm. Buckner. So he can not supply us with male Y marker DNA. Looking at his tree his Moore, Cooke and Edwards different families so I am rather sure our DNA Family Finder Match with this Morris.

I have also placed a query on Message Board Ancestry Morris in the hope to scare up an interested male Morris of our group.

I forwarded all of the info to your email. I have not contacted them so I do not know if anyone continued his research or what may have happened to it. I thought you might want to contact them as you have a much better understanding of the DNA testing and the results.

L.D.S. library systems has wills of Orange Co. NC on line with other documents for the county. I do not think State of VA lets them put the same kind of documents on line.

I have ordered Brunswick Co. VA through them on film should know more end of next month.

One of the Web masters at Family Tree DNA Morris Project to see if I can set up a Reed Morris Fund. The plan to get other males of our group to do 12 marker test. He should have the honor of having the fund named after him.

They do have a General Fund, but I do not know how that works.
